Birmingham based Cloggs, which also has a shop in the city’s Bullring shopping centre, sells brands including Ugg, Converse, Vans and Dr Martens. It was founded in 1998.
The deal will be the latest retail acquisition by Bury based JD Sports, which bought Blacks Leisure chain out of administration in a deal last year.
JD bought menswear retailer Cecil Gee and took a majority stake in the Spanish sportswear chain Sprinter.
It has also snapped up a variety of fashion and sports brands, including Gio Goi earlier this month and Henleys and Cheadle Hulme sports clothing designer Source Lab in 2012.
Other brands added to its portfolio in recent years have included include The Duffer of St George, Nicholas Deakins, Canterbury of New Zealand, ONETrueSaxon, Kooga, Chilli Pepper, Nanny State and Sonneti.
