He was born on December 24, 1943, in Moline, to Frank and Mary (Victor) Roegiers. He attended Sacred Heart Grade School in Moline, graduated from Alleman High School in 1961, and graduated from Bradley University in 1968 with a degree in civil engineering.
He worked for Missman Stanley Associates for 43 years as a design engineer and project manager for water and waste water facilities, and land development. While serving public and private clients in both Illinois and Iowa, the majority of his work was for municipalities, counties in the Quad City area.
He was proud of his long associations with these communities and the lasting friendships he made with the people he served. A large number of these communities he served for nearly his entire career.
He retired from Missman Stanley Associates in 2011.
He was a member of several engineering organizations, serving as president of the local chapter of the National Society of Professional engineers.
He was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church, Colona.
He married Kathy Weber of Coal Valley on September 19,
1970, at St. Patrick’s Church.
He is survived by his wife, Kathy; son, Michael (Patty) Roegiers of Coal Valley; daughter, Rebecca (Brian) Nightingale of Orion; grandchildren, Madeline, Samuel and Johnathan Nightingale, Ethan Swint,
Elliott (Jennie) Swint.
