Holiday shoppers, head to Walnut St. in Philadelphia.
The stretch of Walnut St. between Broad and 18th streets is one of the most in demand by retailers, meaning it has one of the highest retail rents in the country.
Walnut St. was named the 12th most expensive retail location in North America by Cushman and Wakefield, a global real estate services firm. The firm released its Main Streets Across the World report, which looked at the prime rental value of 451 retail streets across the world, on Nov. 14.
The most expensive location, according to Cushman and Wakefield,
was upper 5th Ave. in New York, followed by Rodeo Drive in Los Angeles and Union Square in San Francisco.
New York’s 5th Ave. also topped the firm’s report for most expensive streets in the world. Hong Kong’s Causeway Bay was second, followed by New Bond St. in London.
So what can you expect to find on Walnut St.? Stores include Tiffany and Co., Urban Outfitters, Michael Kors, Lagos, L’Occitane en Provence,
H and The Dr. Martens Store.
